i miss washington and we're back to school here in phoenix
Below are, in order:
1.Tim on his first day of Second Grade. Wow!
2&3. Alex and Gretchen with our great friends and old Tacoma neighbors for six years, Paul and Jackie.
4. My Grandpa and Emmy.
5. Me and Jenn!
6. Me and Cindy.
7. Grandma and Tim on the Monorail in Seattle.
8. Grandpa and Emmy in Seattle by EMP where Alex used to work.
9. Emmy and Tim at their first day of school participating in the balloon release.
10.Emmy on her first day of Kindergarten.
Below the pictures are actual words that I blogged too!

hello friends!
it's hot! i miss washington and my friends and family. i've started to count down the days that i apparently think i have left here in arizona. i'm not sure if God or Alex have realized that i'm in charge of this situation (just kidding God... and Alex). in all seriousness, i am DONE living here. Now, I'm just listening for God to let Alex and I know what He thinks about it.
so... since i'm here until at least the end of the school year (which started last monday, can you believe it?) i'm going to try and make the best of it. i'm going to teach a million classes, be Tim's second grade room mom, volunteer at their school every day, hang out with friends, do my best as i work in a leadership position at Genesis, be a good wife, and pretend i don't completely dislike it in this dry, hot desert.
To quote the words from a Death Cab song that is relevant for Phoenix too, "you can't swim in a place this shallow, you would most assuredly drown tomorrow".

Gretchen - it was great seeing you again! Hello to the rest of the Sinclair family! The kids are so big! I remember babysitting Emmy when she was a baby! How time flies...

Ahh!! Its not that bad! LOL! We moved here three years ago from the NW - I found your blog through the Teabo's blog. :) Just thought I'd say hi and that "winter" is just around the corner. ;)
Gretchen! I found you through Jenn's blog. The kids are so grown up and cute! Justin and I were just talking about Emmy and how she just loved him. Nice to see that you are all well. If you'd like you can check out my blog and see what is going on with us. xo!www.lindseymarshall.wordpress.com
